About the Role:
As Principal Mobile Network Architect, you will provide senior technical direction for end-to-end network architecture, integrating mobile networks and satellite systems from user handsets to the core. Collaborating closely with internal specialists and mobile operators, you will establish system topologies, interface requirements, and deployment blueprints across terrestrial and space domains. You will steer technical alignment with partners and vendors while guiding architectural choices in an autonomous, hybrid environment.
About the company:
A major global aerospace enterprise developing advanced non-terrestrial network connectivity. Partnering with leading telecommunications operators and suppliers, they bridge terrestrial cellular systems with orbital networks to deliver direct global communication.
Compensation, Benefits & Opportunities:
- Shape the technical core of an ambitious satellite venture from early-stage architecture through to commercial deployment, creating processes that set the technical direction for the whole team.
- Join an established global aerospace leader backing a focused venture, offering the agility and momentum of an early initiative alongside established institutional stability.
- Tackle complex engineering challenges at the convergence of satellite technology and telecommunications, bridging terrestrial cellular infrastructure with orbiting constellations.
- Work alongside an experienced, highly collaborative senior leadership team who value deep technical authority, providing full autonomy to make pivotal architectural choices.
- Pioneer non-terrestrial network solutions that transform how operators deliver direct global connectivity to everyday consumer handsets.
To Be Successful, You’ll Need:
- Extensive demonstrated experience architecting end-to-end mobile network topologies across RAN, transport, core, IMS, roaming and OSS/BSS environments within an operator or vendor setting.
- Proven technical mastery of 3GPP standards spanning 4G, 5G and evolving 5G Non-Terrestrial Network specifications, with hands-on capability defining functional interface allocations between space and ground domains.
- Comprehensive track record steering carrier-grade cloud-native deployments, independently establishing complex system trade-offs across link performance, scalability, resilience and operational overhead.
