What is your favourite thing about working at neuco?
We’ve worked really hard to try and create a business that people want to work for and with. Seeing that as a reality in the feedback we get from all sides – clients, candidates and colleagues – is probably my favourite thing. In years to come, if our team members look back on their time with us, and say they absolutely loved working for neuco, that would make me very proud!
Who was, or still is, your idol?
My parents. They’ve inspired and taught me endlessly, for which I’m enormously grateful.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
It’s ok to be sh$t, just don’t be sh$t for too long – I didn’t like the guy who told me, but the lesson stuck!
What’s your favourite travel destination or a place you’d love to visit?
I’ve been fortunate to ‘travel’ for months on end twice, and South America was probably my favourite place – little English spoken, not too busy, felt like a real adventure.
What’s a small thing that makes your day better?
Laughter, exercise, seeing the sea, and my kids giving me an unprompted hug that isn’t followed by ‘dad, can I have some money’. And sweets, they always help.
What activities or hobbies do you enjoy outside of work?
Current favourites are cycling (road and gravel) and wingfoiling. Once it was sailing, but now I’m trying to get my kids into it, so I’m more of a supporter than a participant! In general, I’m always active, sitting still is not a skill of mine!
What’s one thing people might not know about you?
I can get a t-shirt tan even if I’m not wearing a t-shirt.
