It all started with a bet! When he and some friends needed a new job, Gilles – the only non-football fan of the group – made a bet that he would get a job in the digital group at UEFA. And guess what, he did! Since then, he’s been fortunate to be at the forefront of the digital transformation of how we consume sports content. From his happy memories of UEFA, through to realising that the 2014 World Cup was the moment when digitisation of sports content truly came of age, this is a wonderful conversation full of insight. Gilles is an incredibly positive person, most definitely a glass-half-full man, and for a man who’s in an industry that lost the Euro’s, the Olympics, and the endless mass disruption or cancellation of live sport in the last 10 months, that’s fabulous to hear.
