Having been at Ross Video for 30 years, David knows a thing or two about culture and he quoted – from something he read recently – that ‘Culture is what you ignore’. The premise being, that what you ignore will become normalised, and that will become your culture, either good or bad, reminding us all of the importance to highlight the good bits and to call out anything that does not meet your company standard.
In a wide ranging interview, we also cover how and why he joined his father’s business in 1991 (it hadn’t always been the plan!!), his thoughts on the industry and the tech that will affect things moving forwards. In addition, he raised the important issue of sustainability around Broadcast as well as having some excellent advice for those entering the industry – have two great skill sets, not just one!
